finish the year strong

December 10, 2025

Make the Most of 2025’s Final Stretch

Now is not the time to throw in the towel & wait until next year to pursue the goals you’d set for this year. Instead, it’s time to dig deep by persevering & committing to yourself. You might have started the year enthusiastically & then faltered but now is not the time to give up.

With the end of the year close, now is the time to take a deep breath, re-focus, and make the most of the weeks remaining in 2025. Rather than waiting until January 1st to dive into your goals, why not head into 2026 with the momentum already building? Starting now allows you to ease into new habits, adjust your approach, and end the year with a sense of accomplishment.

Set Realistic Goals and Just Start

When you think of wrapping up the year strong, keep it simple and achievable. A common mistake is setting end-of-year goals that are too big, which can lead to feeling overwhelmed or falling short. Instead, choose one or two small steps that align with your bigger ambitions. Taking manageable actions now can lay the groundwork without the stress that comes with big, sudden changes.

Small Steps, Big Impact

The beauty of starting with small steps is that it helps create a habit. Try adding a few minutes each day to declutter a small section of a room or take a 10 min walk along with 10 mins of weight training (using your body weight can be enough) or set aside just one day a week to tackle tasks that support your goals. Breaking things down can turn what feels like a monumental task into something doable—and satisfying.

Consider this: What one thing have you done today to move closer to your goal?  Small actions add up, and before long, they become habits.

Make the Most of Every Week

With a few weeks left in the year, make each one count by assigning yourself a single, reachable objective. These mini goals add up and propel you forward. Reflect each Friday on what you’ve achieved that week and set your intention for the week ahead. I might not be where I planned to be, but I am going out with a bang and will have lost the few pounds/kilos I gained the last couple of months after weeks of illness.

Finishing strong is a sign of commitment, integrity and excellence. It certainly is a choice so…CHOOSE NOT TO GIVE UP NOW NO MATTER WHAT YOU’VE DONE OR HAVEN’T DONE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

Finishing the year strong doesn’t mean you’re suddenly going to lose all the weight I/you want to lose or have financial success or whatever it is we want. Figuring out what it is you really want and becoming grounded in the knowledge so you can be firm and unshakable moving forward with a positive attitude towards your future or at least one goal.

Finishing strong will be good for how you remember your experiences in 2025 – if you choose to knuckle down now and give the rest of the year the commitment you deserve you WILL move into 2026 with an increased satisfaction & happiness with your life.

You’re setting the foundations for a positive year ahead – clear goal or goals, how to achieve them and go for it. Stop planning, start doing.

Focus on the exercise, water, sleep, smaller portions & nutrient dense foods. Turn back to basics because those never disappoint.
